Abstract


SOCIAL STUDIES FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF 7TH GRADE STUDENTS
The purpose of the study is to examine the perception of social studies and what it means for them from the perspective students. The study, which aims to reveal perceptions for social studies of 7th grade students, is descriptive model of a qualitative study. The study group consists of 196 seventh grade students who are studying Sincan, Yenimahalle, Çankaya and Polatlı districts in four different secondary schools. In order to collect data, a 7-itemed, semi-structured, open-ended survey was developed by the researchers based on expert opinions as a measuring tool. In the light of the data obtained in the study, the 7th grade students revealed some useful findings and significant results.
