The aim of this study is to develop an attitude scale which is valid and reliable towards life studies lesson in order to measure students’ attitudes who are attending 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade levels. The study group of this study consists of 300 2nd and 3rd grade students who are being educated in Samsun and Giresun provinces’ elementary schools. The study group consists of 165 girls and 135 boys. 117 students are being educated in 2nd grade and 183 in 3rd grade. The exploratory validity study was administered within the validity studies of the scale. The exploratory validity study was conducted by SPSS 17 software. According to the exploratory factor analysis results; Kaiser Meyer Olkin (KMO) value of the scale is 0.906. Bartlett sphericity test value is detected as 2431,319. The Cronbach alpha reliability coefficient is detected as 0,747 for the whole scale. As a consequence of the study, it was seen that “Life Studies Lesson Attitude Scale” might be used to detect the attitude levels of the elementary school students. Due to the literacy insufficiency, it is recommended that the students of 2nd grade should have the teacher assistance, and the 3rd grade students complete it individually.
