Abstract


THE EFFECT OF VISITS IN TECHNOLOGY AND DESIGN LESSON TOWARDS STUDENTS’ ATTITUDES (THE SAMPLE OF TOKAT)
This study, aiming to analyze result, by being investigated attitude changes towards lesson of students who study Technology and Design lesson as a result of collaboration between schools and Industry at secondary schools in the centre of Tokat Province is an experimental study in which qualitative research methods has been used. In the light of Science Technology and Design Project has been implemented by Tokat Provincial Directorate of National Education in order to establish industrial co-operation with schools. The research contains 207 7th grade students who were selected simply and randomly. In the scope of the Project called „In the light of science Technology and Design Festival? manufacturing firms have been visited with the students in the sample group, By Turkish Patent Institute, seminar about patent, trademark and design has been given, logo and poster competitions has been organized and at the end of year exhibition of students? works made in the course during the year. Attitude scale was developed as a means of data collection. During the analysis of the study which has been done with the experimental design method, two dependent examples of T-test have been used. As a result of the pre-test and post-test findings of the study, n in favor of the final test significant difference has been obtained. During teaching of construction unit in 7th grades, when used the method of observation, a positive change in attitudes of students towards the course has been concluded.
