Abstract


INVESTIGATION of PRE-SERVICE PRIMARY TEACHERS’ WRITING ANXIETY
Anxiety and negative emotions are accepted as major difficulties in the writing just as it is true for all our daily activities. The aims of this study determine level of Pre-service Primary Teachers’ writing anxiety and reveal whether the writing anxiety differed according to gender. The participants of the study consisted of 705 student who study different universities in Turkey at Primary School Teaching. Data are obtained by Writing Anxiety Scale that developed by Daly-Miller(1975), adopted to Turkish by Özbay ve Zorbaz (2011). Writing anxiety level of the Pre-service Primary Teachers’ is medium. There is no difference between girls writing anxiety and boys. There were not significant differences between the students’ writing anxiety levels in terms of gender.
